

Meet Kassie
Kassie is a Registered Provisional Psychologist under the supervision of Jessica Blake..
Growing up, Kassie enjoyed spending time with her family outdoors and did lots of camping in the mountains. Kassie is also very passionate about dogs (see picture!). Kassie kept herself busy over the COVID-19 quarantine by collecting and learning about tropical plants! Kassie also loves travelling, adventuring, and keeping active.

My Story
Kassie joins the team specializing in children and youth. Kassie comes with a wealth of knowledge from her extensive history working with children and youth. From running summer camps to being a longstanding volunteer Girl Guide leader, Kassie has experienced supporting children and youth while building resiliency and confidence. Kassie has a passion for working with children, youth and their families to find ways to build on client’s personal strengths and to problem solve the twists and turns of life. Kassie specializes in working with clients to navigate anxiety, ADHD, school difficulties, and is an ally in the LTBTQ2S+ community. Kassie has extensive assessment experience, and avidly completes psychoeducational assessments to find personalized ways to support a child, youth, or adult. Kassie can explore any difficulties in cognition (problem solving, reasoning), academics (reading, writing, math), or social/emotional/behavioural (anxiety, depression, inattention, social) alongside the DSM-5TR.

Education
In 2020, Kassie completed her Bachelor of Arts (distinction) at the University of Alberta. With interests in psychology and sociology, she also completed a Certificate in Applied Social Science Research alongside her undergraduate degree. She then completed her Master's of Education in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary in 2023. This program emphasized psychoeducational assessments, and in her internship she had the opportunity to learn the role of a school counsellor.
